Round 4 – home game for ANZAC Round
We finally have our first home games for the season, as the club and the rugby community mark ANZAC Day in 2026. Please note that there are no games being played on Saturday morning, and if you are able to you may want to attend a local dawn services. The service at the Arch of Remembrance at Brighton jetty commences at 6am.
Round 4 is a huge one for Brighton, and we have an early start with two games being played on Friday night under lights. The Under 12s kick off at 6pm and will have their hands full with Onkaparinga, who are undefeated after three rounds. Then at 7pm the Under 14s will be very keen to put last week’s narrow loss behind them with a strong performance.
Both of these games will be the first chance for Brighton to try something new, as we go live! We will be livestreaming both games, and the streams can be accessed from 6pm tonight at the following link:

On Saturday we have a late start due to ANZAC day, with the first game being the Under 12s Brighton/Adelaide Uni team playing Elizabeth away at 12.30pm.
Then we get into a busy afternoon of rugby at home. Brighton Under 16s play first at 12.40pm, and are very keen to win their first match in front of their home crowd.
Next is one of the highlights of the weekend, with the Brighton Women fielding a full squad for a clash with the top-of-the-ladder Onkas Women. There are a few players for Brighton who still remember playing Onkas in the Women’s Grand Final here at home, and after last week’s thrilling performance will want to show that Brighton can match it with the top sides!
Brighton Third grade Black have the long haul up to Barossa, so they will not want to come away empty-handed, and then Brighton Gold have the 3.10pm timeslot as they are next to battle it out with Onkas.
The Brighton Reserve grade play the twilight game at 4.30pm, and while the top two sides play each other, Brighton can make their way back towards top spot with a win.
Final the Premier grade men are back in action after a week off, playing an Onkas side who also have two wins in the first three rounds of the season. A win under lights will maintain Brighton’s perfect start to the season, and there should be a big crowd cheering on both teams.
The weather looks perfect for watching rugby and Brighton will be live streaming all the games from Under 16s onwards on Saturday. We also have a DJ upstairs all evening, the kitchen is open for meals and the theme for the night is Double Denim!
Join us on Friday night and all afternoon on Saturday for a big first round at home for Season 2026!!

First home game for 2026, and another player milestone to celebrate… hitting 50 senior games on Saturday is Lachlan Ash!
Lachie is another one of our former juniors at Brighton. After his first two seasons in seniors Lachie was sorely missed in 2025, but has returned to rugby and immediately slotted back in as a vital cog in the Third Grade machine!
Congratulations Lachie and have a great 50th game this Saturday!
