Round 15 vs Adelaide Uni

There are only four games remaining this season, so every game is becoming important as all our sides fight to finish in the best possible position for finals. Tomorrow most of our sides play at Adelaide University.

On Friday night the Brighton Under 16s and Under 18s play against Woodville at Gleneagles. The Under 16s at 6.50pm have a tough game against the top of the ladder team, but have been playing well and will go hard to make life difficult for Woodville. Then at 8.00pm the Brighton Under 18s can open up a real gap between themselves and fourth place with another win.

First up on Saturday are the Get into Rugby, Under 8 and Under 10 sides playing at 8.30am. They are followed at 9.20am by the Under 12s, who are in the four and looking to win each week to ensure they stay there.

Brighton Under 14s play at 10.20am and will be keen to continue their dominance over the sides below them, and seal up second place on the ladder as soon as they can.

The Brighton/Barossa Women play up at Barossa against Port/Collegians, and have a chance in front of a home crowd to break through and score some tries as they push for their first win. Meanwhile at Port Adelaide, the Third Grade Black side play North Torrens and will be very keen for a confident win.

Back at Adelaide Uni, Third Grade Gold play the Adelaide Uni Sharks, and are playing each week to stay on top of the ladder as they build towards another finals campaign. The Brighton Reserve Grade are also currently top, and will expect to dominate their clash with Adelaide Uni. The day finishes with Premier Grade, who will be confident, but careful not to slip up against the home side. With their only remaining games against sides below them, Premier Grade just need to win and confirm their position.

After the day’s games we will be heading to Brighton and showing the third test between the Wallabies and the British & Irish Lions on the big screen upstairs. Come back and enjoy an evening of rugby on the big screen!

South Australian Lions Tour

The South Australian Lions Tour bus is currently on it’s way to Sydney for the third Test. After stops at Bordertown Football Club and Geelong Rugby Club on their way to Melbourne, the team has since stopped in at Shoalhaven Rugby club and Batemans Bay Boars Rugby Club, having a great time at every stop.

You can follow the team on Instagram at @lionstour_25.

They have also been raising funds at every stop for the charity Hearts in Rugby Union, a charity where ex-players and supporters can help those who have suffered a catastrophic injury playing our game. This charity aims to ensure those players that are or have been injured receive the best possible support throughout their lives, and to help those suffering financial hardship post injury.
