Round 12 vs Elizabeth
This weekend sees a return home and a chance to reset for Brighton, after two weeks of very tough games, especially for our senior teams.
This week the Get into Rugby squad have a bye, so the first game of the day will be the Under 8s at the civilised time of 9.20am, followed by the Under 10s at 10.10am!
This week the Under 12s will be able to make their move into a finals spot with a win against Elizabeth. Hopefully they can manage it without wearing away the supporters’ nerves too much!
The Brighton Under 14s will also be looking for another win in order to go the the mid-season break on a high. After their big victory last week, the U14s should be back to their confident best.
Brighton Under 16s have a chance to enjoy a game in front of their own supporters, and show what they have been working towards all season. Meanwhile the Brighton Under 18s have a bye.
Third Grade Black are over at the Port playing against Barossa Thirds, and will have a tough game. However after last weeks great win against Southern Suburbs, the Blacks will fancy their chances to make a move back towards a finals spot!
Our Women’s team have a Bye this week, and will be hosting a Come and Try session for potential new recruits, at Brighton Beach at 10.30am. Head down there if you want to catch up with the girls and try your hand at rugby!
Thirds Gold and Reserve Grade are playing Elizabeth, and both teams need to get past their results last week and get back to their best. After slipping off the top, the Brighton sides will be hungry to make up for it this week, and for the remaining games.
With the Premier Grade having a bye, the entertainment for the evening will be provided by the Poker night up in the clubrooms, and the British & Irish Lions match on the big screen. Stick around after our games, and enjoy a meal and a drink, and all the action!
