Round 1 – Away at Woodville
It’s finally time for Round 1 of the 2026 season, and Brighton is raring to go!
Last year was a successful one for the club, with most teams making the finals and the Under 14s, Under 18s, Third grade Gold and Reserve grade sides reaching their Grand Finals. After coming away with only one premiership, Brighton will be determined to go further in the 2026 season. Big numbers at the recent Junior Academy have got the club off to a great start, and there are a lot of new faces in juniors and seniors looking forward to beginning the season with a win.
The 2026 season is again 18 rounds, with the final games on August 8th. Finals follow on during August, with Senior Grand Finals on August 29. Most weeks we will have most of our teams at one location, except for our Third Grade Black team who follow Port Adelaide in the Draw. This year we are excited to have our Women’s team joining our other senior teams each week!
All Brighton teams are all playing away this week, including a one-off Sunday game for the Third Grade Gold side. Please see the match details below, and come out and cheer on your Tigers!

The first of many game milestones for the new season features one of the stalwarts of the Brighton Women’s team – Mellissa Mathie!
Mel reaches 50 games for Brighton after starting at the club in 2019, playing several seasons, and then jumping straight back in last year to continue where she left off!
Congratulations Mellissa – good luck for your 50th game and for the rest of the 2026 season

Brighton Carpet Bowls Night is rolling into the Club on March 28 at 7pm. Get back to Brighton after the first game of the season!
Every team of two will hit the mat for glory & bragging rights, but only if you arrive in full bowls whites. Tradition matters. Prestige matters. You will lose points if you’re not in proper whites. No exceptions, no mercy.
What’s happening on the night:
• A full Opening Ceremony to kick things off — uniforms judged, teams introduced, pride on the line.
• Fast, loud, competitive matches where precision meets pure luck.
• Teams of 2, $5 per person, equipment provided.

Families, mark the date in your calendars! We are bringing back the inflatables for another big day of family fun… Sunday April 12 from 10am. See you all there!
