Ted Fidock Memorial Service
Last Saturday Brighton Rugby Club was honoured to host a memorial service to celebrate the life of our own Ted Fidock.
Thank you to everyone who attended and helped the family remember Ted. It was a wonderful day, with a big crowd reminded by the speakers of Ted’s many achievements in his rugby career, and entertained with stories of Ted’s life outside rugby. I think everyone was particularly amazed to find out that Ted once played basketball against the Harlem Globetrotters!
After the service many of Ted’s family, friends and rugby mates from across the country enjoyed the chance to catch up and remember their own times with Ted, and take comfort in having known a true Gentleman, who left all of our lives better for having known him…

2024/25 Nominations and Club Notices
The Brighton Rugby Union Football Club Inc. will be having it’s Annual General Meeting on Friday, November 29, 2024, and the 2024 Annual Report will be distributed electronically in the next week. We invite you to consider any nomination you may wish to make for club committee positions, and then submit your nominations using this Club Officials form, or the form included with the Annual Report.
If you have any questions about the committee positions, please contact the club via email, or approach one of the committee. Nominations can be submitted by email to the secretary at secretary@brightonrugbysa.net.au.
Any interested Coaches and Managers for Junior or Senior sides for the 2025 season are also invited to submit their nominations using the attached Team Officials form.
In preparation for the AGM, members are invited to prepare any questions they may wish to raise at the meeting, and submit these in advance. This will assist the committee in fully addressing issues of concern to our members.

Club Bar and Canteen Manager positions
The club is looking for someone to take up a paid role within the club, managing the Bar and organising stocking, functions and bar staff. Please contact the Club President at president@brightonrugbysa.net.au or the Secretary in order to lodge your expression of interest in this role.
The club is also seeking someone to manage the Canteen next season. This will involve organising the canteen for Tuesday nights and Saturdays for home games.
