Round 8 against Barossa at Home
Round 8 sees Brighton back home again to take on Barossa, as we get very close to the half way point of the 2026 season.
Saturday gets going at 9.15am with the Under 10s. Due to squad numbers, Brighton will play two games, at 9.15 and 9.40. Meanwhile, the Brighton Get into Rugby and Under 8 teams will play on the other half of the pitch at 9.50am.
The Brighton Under 12s squad have a game at Onkas with their combined side at 9.20am, while back at Brighton Road the rest of the Under 12s play Barossa at 10.30am. Both Brighton sides will be keen to get back to winning form!
The Brighton Under 14s have a bye this week, so the next game up is the Brighton Under 16s playing the Barossa/Elizabeth U16s at 11.30am. Brighton will hope to carry on from last week in front of their home supporters.
Brighton Third grade Black play Old Collegians at Tregenza, and back at Brighton the Golds take on second-placed Barossa. With a bye next week, this will determine where the Golds sit at the half-way point of the season.
Brighton Reserve grade play Barossa at 2.00pm. This is another important game for Brighton, as they look ahead to their rematch with Old Collegians, and the chance to move up the ladder.
Finally Brighton Premier grade play at 3.30pm, an early start after the last couple of games finished under lights. Brighton won’t take Barossa lightly, even after the excitement of defeating Burnside last week, and will try to keep up their excellent form.

First of all we have Stef Redmond hitting his 300th game at Brighton! Red has undoubtedly played many more games than this across his entire rugby career, but in his time at Brighton has been a valuable stalwart of the front row… in all three positions!

Finally we celebrate Jack Butler reaching 50 Senior games!
Jack is a former Brighton junior who returned from interstate to once again play at Brighton, and after a break is back playing Premier grade again… just in time to reach his 50-game milestone.
