Round 7 vs Burnside
Round 7 against Burnside at Woodville
Round 7 is a very important week for all grades, as we take on Burnside at their temporary home at Woodville!
The round kicks off early, on Friday night back at Brighton where the Under 16s look to reset and celebrate a win at 6.30pm under lights.
Saturday gets going at 8.30am at Gleneagles Reserve, with the Get into Rugby squad and the Under 8s starting things off.
This is followed by the Brighton Under 10s at 9.10am. The Under 10s will set up with two games at the same time, as both clubs have big squads. Next up at 10am the Under 12s will have their hands full with Burnside, while over at Waite Oval the other U12s side will be playing Port Adelaide at 10.10am.
The Brighton Under 14s are next at 11.00am. Burnside are currently undefeated, so Brighton have the opportunity to move to the top of the ladder with a win in this vital game.
Brighton Third grade Black have a bye this week, and the Brighton Women’s game is unfortunately a forfeit, so the next match is at 1.20pm with Brighton Thirds Gold playing Burnside. Burnside were the only team who defeated the Gold side last season, so Brighton will be keen to show their dominance in 2026.
Brighton reserve grade play at 2.40pm. After defeating Souths last week, Brighton will want to deal with Burnside the same way, and continue to move clear of the teams below them. Both sides have only lost a single game, both to Old Colls.
The day finishes with Premier Grade at 4.00pm. Brighton have been very impressive all season so far, and would like to show the reigning premiers exactly why they are the dominant side this year!
We will be live streaming our Under 16s game on Friday night at home, and then making Saturday’s games available on our YouTube channel later. Please tune in and watch if you can’t be there on the day… go to the BRUFC YouTube channel and cheer on your Tigers!
