Senior Grand Finals

The final Saturday of the season is here, and it’s a repeat of last year with the Reserve Grade and Third Grade Gold teams both in their Grand Finals.

On Saturday morning at 10am Brighton Gold play Burnside again, this time for the Premiership trophy. So far this season the honours are even, with a draw and one win each. However despite a couple of injuries to first choice players, Brighton won the most recent clash with Burnside and should feel confident for tomorrow’s big game, especially as the newly crowned top try scoring team in South Australian rugby! A big vote of thanks to every single Third Grade player in both the Black and Gold sides, and good luck tomorrow to the Grand Final team!

Brighton Reserve Grade play at 1.40pm against Old Collegians. This season Brighton have once again been the best side in the Reserve Grade competition, and are also one of the highest scoring teams in any grade. Back to their best for the Grand Final, Brighton will hope to repeat last year’s success, with a side packed with talent!

Brighton has a tent at the Grand Finals again, so please come to Bailey and join us in celebrating Grand Final day. Remember you are representing the club on the biggest day of the year for South Australian rugby, so please be respectful towards officials, other spectators and the facilities being provided to make this an enjoyable day. Afterwards, the club is open from 4pm, with meals on in the evening, so help make it a fantastic end to the 2025 season!

Congratulations to all of the Brighton teams and players for your hard work this year, and for making it to the Grand Finals. Good luck tomorrow, and see you back at the club… and Blood for Supper!!

Code of Conduct – Grand Finals

The club encourages any player, spectator or other supporter to report any issues you may encounter out at rugby.

The Rugby Australia Code of Conduct provides a set of standards for everyone involved in Rugby to ensure it is played in a safe, fair and inclusive environment. It also outlines the procedures for reporting, complaint handling and investigations of alleged breaches.

Brighton Rugby Club and all of our members and supporters have a duty to protect those involved in the game, and it is important to report someone who has acted against one or more of Rugby Australia’s policies, so appropriate action can be taken if necessary.

It is also important that Brighton sets a high standard for our OWN behaviour, especially while attending the biggest event of the year, Grand Final Day. It is the expectation of the club that all members will refrain from inappropriate behaviour at any game. This includes poor language or behaviour towards other spectators, lack of respect towards Match Officials or RUSA representatives, or misuse of facilities such as outside bars and toilets. Remember you are representing Brighton Rugby Club.

Please approach your coach or manager, one of our Committee members, or our Member Protection Officer Catherine Costello if you need to discuss anything that concerns you.
