Round 7
Brighton vs Port Adelaide

This week is Round 7 of the 2025 season, and Brighton has games at home on Friday night, and at Port Adelaide on Saturday.

On Friday night our Under 16s and Under 18s play Old Collegians under lights at Brighton Road. Join us at the club for an exciting evening of rugby!

Saturday’s Junior games start from 10:10am with our Get into Rugby teams and the Under 8s. After that our Under 10 and Under 12 sides will play, while the Under 14s have a bye this week.

The next game is the big clash between Third grade Gold and Black, to determine once and for all who is the better side this week. Both sides could finish the day in second or even top spot on the ladder! Our Brighton Women team then join us again when they play Burnside, and try to continue their steady improvement.

Finally Reserve grade play at 3.30pm and should confirm their position on top of the ladder. Premier Grade have a bye this week, before all sides are back in action at home in Round 8 for the Ted Fidock trophy against Woodville.

As always, all our Brighton Junior and Senior teams need your support, this and every week. It is also National Volunteer week this week, so thank you to all of the wonderful members who keep the club running for us!

National Volunteer week
Thank you!

Thank you to all of the amazing volunteers who make Brighton run! You are all appreciated and without you we would not have a club to enjoy every week.

Please have a look here https://volmap.ausport.org.au/at a Volunteer map celebrating all of the wonderful helpers across many sports in hundreds of locations around the country.

Ted Fidock trophy and Sponsors Day next week!

Brighton Rugby Club acknowledges the fantastic support shown for the club by our Major Senior Sponsor Beyond Bank Australia, our Major Junior Sponsor Holdfast Transport Crane Trucks, and all of our other club sponsors…

Syntax Specialist Electrical, Allan Real Estate, Creative Concrete, SA Storage Solutions, Gallagher Security, F45 Brighton, RJE Global, and BLK MRKT Coffee.

We look forward to welcoming our sponsors to the club for the Round 8 clash with Woodville on May 31, where the two clubs will contest the Ted Fidock trophy for the first time!

Volunteers needed Ground Marshalls,
Canteen & Bar

The club needs volunteers to help with jobs on match days, especially home games.
In particular we need volunteers to act as Bar and canteen staff, and Ground Marshalls. One of these is required at every game, juniors and seniors. The coaches and managers are not able to fill this role as well, and are also busy organising their teams.
If you are able to assist the club by acting as a Ground Marshall, volunteering your time in the canteen or bar, or by helping with any other of many jobs on match days, please see your team’s manager or speak to one of the club committee at training during the week.

Please note that all teams will be rostered to help in the canteen for a Saturday Home game during the season. When your team is rostered, please make yourself available for a short shift in the canteen.
