Round 6
Brighton vs Adelaide Uni

Tomorrow is our third home game for the season, when we take on Adelaide University at Brighton Road. Everyone, including the Women’s team, is at home except for Thirds Black, who travel to Dry Creek to play North Torrens.

Junior games start from 9:10am, and this weekend our Under 16s are playing at Burnside, and Under 18s have a bye. Brighton’s juniors all had good wins last week, and will be working hard to continue their form.

The Brighton Women’s team are again playing at the same ground as the rest of the club, and will fancy their chances of breaking through for their first win of the year.

In Third grade Brighton Gold and Black will both hope to finish the weekend in second spot on the ladder, setting things up for a massive Brighton vs Brighton game the following week at the Port.

Reserve grade confirmed their dominance last week, and should continue where they left off tomorrow. Premier Grade will also hope to build on their position and start to pull away from the trailing sides, with only 3 games until the half way mark of the season.

All of the Brighton Junior and Senior teams need your support, this week and every week. Please get down to the club tomorrow, cheer on all our teams and then stay for a great night as the club has it’s iPod Shuffle function. Wear your loudest, worst shirt and enjoy a meal and drinks specials at the upstairs bar!

Cameron Field
150 Senior Games

Brighton Rugby Club has more senior milestones coming up this round!

Cameron Field has hardly missed a game since coming up from juniors, and already has the premierships to show for it! Congratulations Cam on 150 senior games for Brighton!

Will Humphris
50 Senior Games

After a delay of twelve months he is back where he belongs, holding up Brighton scrums! We are pleased to congratulate Will Humphris on his 50th senior game for Brighton!

iPod Shuffle and St Shirt night!

Volunteers Needed

The club needs volunteers to help with jobs on match days, especially home games.

In particular we need volunteers to act as Ground Marshalls. One of these is required at every game, juniors and seniors. The coaches and managers are not able to fill this role as well, and are also busy organising their teams.

If you are able to assist the club by acting as a Ground Marshall, volunteering your time in the canteen, or by helping with any other of many jobs on match days, please see your team’s manager or speak to one of the club committee during the week.
